This grand picture is the companion piece to Francisco Laporta Valor's Rosa Mystica, a picture we love very much. In this painting, Valor gives us the resurrected Jesus on his throne. He looks strong, and it also seems like it is not long after the Ascension. Note all the symbolism, the red of the Passion, the chalice, the crosses worked into the background, the gold of his holiness and purity. His Sacred Heart is shown as His invitation to let us into his most inner life. What a gift!

Francisco Laporta Valor (1849-1914), was a deeply religious Spanish painter. He also was a businessman, with both photography and lithography businesses, which were both relatively new technologies. He was also a professor of art, besides producing many religious and non-religious paintings. This one was painted about 1895. (source: www.mubag.es)

If you search our shop for "Rosa Mystica," you will find the beautiful companion piece.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. 1.75" for 13x17 and 16x20", and 2" for 18x24 and 24x36". All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.

- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
