Celine Martin (Sister Geneviève of the Holy Face)
Exclusive Photo Restoration

It's hard not to feel a friendship for Celine as one gets to know her sister Therese better. They were very close in life, inseparable except for that period when Therese went into the Carmel before Celine did. Even as Therese was dying, Celine was bemoaning their being apart, and Therese told her she would never be even an inch further away than she was at that moment.

Celine was the main artist of that artistic family. She was considering going to Paris to study art after Therese went to the convent. A young man had even proposed to her. But she finally chose the religious life.

Celine is the one who took most of the photographs of Therese. She did the first edit of Story of a Soul and helped make it a world-wide best-seller. She did a famous painting of Therese and wrote her own memories of her. She curated Therese's reputation, all in a spirit of deep love and devotion, certain that her sister was a Saint in Heaven.

There's much more we could say about her. We encourage you to investigate. We have no doubt she is a Saint herself. She was born Marie Celine Martin in 1869 and lived until 1959. We hope this photo restoration helps you draw closer to our friend Celine, and thus closer to our friend Jesus. (source: martinsisters.org)

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER!
There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.

- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.

Thanks for your interest!

Thanks!
