The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared miraculously on the cloak of Juan Diego, a simple indigenous peasant, on the hill of Tepeyac near Mexico City on December 12, 1531. Today it is displayed in the Basilica of Guadalupe nearby, the most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Pope John Paul II declared her patroness of the Americas.

This is a framed detail of Sue's print of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The original was done in acrylics and colored pencils. The print measures 3" x 3" and the outside of the frame measures 5" x 5". This frame is hand painted in sunset tomes with touches of gold, and is one of a kind! One of our most popular items!
