The Sacred Heart of Jesus Good Shepherd Original Painting
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Good Shepherd Original Painting
Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He gathers the lost sheep. He told this parable, “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.” (Mathew 12-14)
This image painted by Sue Kouma Johnson in acrylics on a 16 by 20 inch canvas stretched on a wooden frame, and it is available for sale. The simple, but striking image makes a strong impression as both the Good Shepherd and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is modern, yet recalls Byzantine imagery. Very comforting for contemplation in a cozy room.
