This photo was taken in Fatima in 1917 after the apparitions of Mary. Lucia is 10, Francisco is 9, and little Jacinta is 7. We have made this exclusive photo restoration to help you be closer to these holy little ones, and thus be closer to Jesus.
One part of Lucia's story that is not widely known is that she was already an extremely devout child before the apparitions. At age 6, she was broken-hearted and in tears because she could not receive Jesus in Communion; 10 was the customary age. In light of her devotion, she was granted an exception. She said of her first communion that she felt "bathed in such a supernatural atmosphere that the presence of our dear Lord became as clearly perceptible to me as if I had seen and heard Him with my bodily senses." As a child, she wrote songs and, in addition, she was known as an imaginative storyteller, which made it harder for people to believe her regarding the appearance of Mary.
While Sister Lucia lived for almost another 90 years, her cousins would soon be with the Lord. I love Jacinta's jaunty pose in this picture, little hand on the hip, and I love how serious our little ones' expressions are. We cropped the photo a little, focusing more on the figures, but we left in some of the house's roof, as it gives a clear setting of their poverty.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.
- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
Thanks for your interest!
Thanks!
