Mary Magdalene stands at the empty tomb, bereft. Her dear friend and teacher, Jesus, has been killed, and she thinks they have even taken away the body. Little does she know that he is with her, always, and that soon she will know joy.

We thought this was a good image for all of us in those times when we are downcast. We thought it could also be a good one to send to a friend when they are in a difficult period. Also available here on Etsy as a postcard: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1431501104/mary-magdalene-at-the-empty-tomb

It is good to be reminded that Jesus is ever-faithful. He said he would not leave us, even until the end of time, and he cannot lie. (Matthew 28:20, and elsewhere)

Harold Copping (1863-1932) did a lot of Christian-themed art in the 19th and early 20th Century , and we think this is one of his best pieces.

PLEASE NOTE, on art style, this is not a detailed, realistic painting. Look closely at the picture.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.

- Acid-free fine art paper.
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
