Blessed Bartolo Longo (1841-1926) was born in Italy to devout Catholic parents at a time of great trouble in his country. Garibaldi was unifying the Italian states into a single nation, and he was attacking the Church. Besides the government being against the Church, so was much of the media and academia. Bartolo went to college at a time when it was fashionable among students to be anti-church and involved with witchcraft and the occult.

Bartolo himself became anti-Catholic and joined a satanic church, where he was ordained a satanic priest. At this point, his life took a turn for the worse! He was a mess, and he was in a terrible psychological state of depression, nervousness, and confusion. He wouldn’t listen to his family, but a professor who was a family friend, Vincenzo Pepe, helped him find his faith again.

Although Bartolo had given his soul to a demon, God took him back. Know this, that while the devil tells people they are too far gone, God will always take someone back while they live. He doesn’t ask much, either. He wants the person to be sorry for their sins. Bartolo became a devout third-order Dominican, and he spent the rest of his life promoting the Rosary, so much so that Pope John-Paul called him the “Apostle of the Rosary.” He was beatified on October 26, 1980.

Where there is life, there is hope. It doesn’t matter how far gone someone is, they can always come back. Blessed Bartolo Longo, pray for us! Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us! We hope this exclusive restored picture of Bartolo brings you hope and peace, and strengthens your own spirit.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a blank border around the image. Approximately 0.5" wide for 5x7, 1.3" for 8.5x11, 1.6" for 11x14, and 1.75" for 13x17 and 16x20. For the two poster sizes, 18x24 and 24x36, we use 0.5" borders. We do this because the ratio of the rectangle of the art almost never matches the rectangle of the paper, and if it did happen to match one size, it would not match the others. Most fine art printers do this because otherwise they’d have to crop the art or warp it to make it fit the paper. The border looks good. It gives the picture a faux matted appearance.

There is almost always a little more border either on the left-right sides, or the top-bottom, depending on whether the ratio of the art is wider or taller than the paper.

We make Archival Quality fine art prints:

– Acid-free paper

– Archival pigments

– Cardboard backer for sizes 11x14 and less.

– Above story of the art

– Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal-clear bag.

– Rated to last 200+ years without fading if kept dry and out of the direct sun.
