The Carrying of the Cross is from one of our favorite 19th Century holy cards. We think maybe it’s a German card, but we don’t know who or where it came from for sure.By the artwork style, we would guess this card was originally done about 1900.

There's something rich about the colors that makes it easy to meditate on this picture. Note that Jesus's Sacred Heart is shown. We hope the prayer on the back, a tradional Catholic prayer, helps you further your relationship with your own cross.
