This dear picture of Baby Jesus on the altar next to the Eucharist, an illustration of central tenets of our Universal, Catholic Faith. It's a beautiful Polish card from the 19th Century. The text on the front means, "Glory to God in the highest; and on earth, peace to people of good will." (Which is what the angels declared to the shepherds the night Jesus was born, Luke 2:14). For this nativity card, we've taken an ancient prayer from our tradition, the Nativity Prayer of St. Augustine (354-430).

Our restoration of this holy card is one of our series of Christmas Holy cards. We've restored these beautiful old cards as a little way to help strengthen people's spiritual lives and make our Christmas celebrations holier.
