The meaning of the Magi coming to see Jesus was that the newborn King of the Jews was coming not just for the Jews but for the rest of humanity. The wise men, who were astrologers, gave up their pagan ways to come worship the one true God. The prayer on the back is a traditional Catholic prayer reminding us to be like the wise men of the East and seek the Lord with all our hearts. In truth, it is He who is gently and constantly seeking us.

Bouasse-Jeune, along with the older Bouasse-Lebel company, put out in our opinion the most beautiful holy cards ever made. From Paris in the 19th Century, when French art astonishingly good.
