Sporting one of the coolest bits of art on a holy card, this intriguing piece is from Croatia in 1916. The artwork is mysterious and unique. On the front, Sretan Božić means Merry Christmas in Croation, Croatia being a mostly Catholic country, formerly a province of the Austria-Hungary Empire, also mostly Catholic. Germinavit Radix Jesse means "The Root of Jesse has blossomed." It refers to Isaiah 11:10. The prayer on the back is a traditional Advent prayer.

Our restoration of this holy card is one of our series of Christmas Holy cards. We've restored these beautiful old cards as a little way to help strengthen people's spiritual lives and make our Christmas celebrations holier.
