New! Eucharist and Dove Holy Card – Quiet Priestly Prayer – pack of 10/100/1000 – Restored Vintage Holy Card

This lovely Eucharist and Dove card dates from the mid-1800s. Doves represent human souls, and this soul is happily refreshing himself with the Eucharist. The scene seemed so quiet and lovely, we paired it with one of the quiet prayers the priest murmurs during the Mass. It's one of the so-called Secreta, which are not secret, just said by the priest during Mass in a soft voice you can’t hear (unless it’s small chapel at dawn and you’re kneeling a few feet away😊.)

The Church welcomes you to pray these at Mass, just so long as you do so silently. The priest says it quietly because it is an intensely personal moment for him, not something we should jump in out loud.

This one comes after the transubstantiation, right after we kneel for the second time, right before he holds up the Host and says, "Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb" (based on John 1:29)
