Flannery O'Conner was a devout Catholic and one of the best American writers of the 20th Century. Can’t you see the intelligence sparkling in her eyes? This beaming picture can be an inspiration for any Catholic writer or reader, or anyone who admires excellence. Her stories are like no one else's. She said she wrote them all to have a "point of grace," the place in the stories where God’s grace enters in.

If you haven’t read anything by her, we envy you, because you can experience the joy and satisfaction of discovering her for the first time. We would suggest you start with the short story "Everything That Rises Must Converge." We read it 40 years ago and still think about it all the time, especially the last sentence, the point of grace.

A Southern Catholic, Flannery described herself as a “Hillbilly Thomist.” (There’s a great Catholic bluegrass band that calls themselves by that name, by the way.) We hope our restored picture of her let’s you draw close to her as a person. We hope she inspires you. She’s one of the Catholic heroes of the culture. There’s a good movie out about her, starring Maya Hawke and directed by her father, Ethan, which we recommend.

!!!IMPORTANT!!! THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER FOR THE SMALLER SIZES!!!!!
