The great Botticelli (Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi (c. 1445–1510), better known as Sandro Botticelli) painted this beautiful piece. Mary is being crowned by two angels. She is wearing a thin veil and what they call a "Byzantine" scarf. She is writing the Magnificat in a book, on the page opposite the Canticle of Zechariah, her writing guided by her son, Jesus, who looks up to Heaven.
