New! Mother and Child – Choice of Frames – Jessie Willcox Smith
Jessie Willcox Smith is one of our favorite artists of the early 20th Century. She painted in a wholesome, beautiful way at a time when America's spirit was devout. She did hundreds of magazine covers, such as Good Housekeeping, and occaisionally did Catholic-themed pictures. This charming Mother and Child was done for the 1910 Christmas issue of The Woman's Home Companion.*
The decorative ring she painted around the pair we thought harmonized nicely with this fancy frame, the lead photo in this listing. But it looks good in the other frames too.
The round picture is about 3 inches in diameter, and you can discern the aproximate frame size by that and by our daughter Genevieve's hand! These are all pretty much adorable "fun size" pictures, perfect for a nook, a desk, or even the wall of a home shrine.
