We fell in love with this gorgeous painting of the Virgin Mary the first time we saw it. The colors are rich, the arrangement is delightful, and the tone is warm and devotional. Mary is the “enclosed garden” of the Song of Songs. She is fruitful, providing all eligible graces to the faithful. Original painting by Catholic American Joseph Stella (1877-1946). The original hangs in the Brooklyn Museum, as do many other great Catholic paintings.
