"Our Lady of Good Counsel"
by Pasquale Sarullo
We love this version of Our Lady of Good Counsel because of its charm and tenderness, and of course, the colors. We LOVE the colors in this. It is the work of Pasquale Sarullo, a 19th-century Franciscan priest who was well known for his paintings at the time but not much anymore, with the exception of this gorgeous masterpiece. It in turn is based on a venerated fresco from the 15th Century that had many miracles associated with it.
Jesus looked towards his mother as a child, and heard her good advice. Our Lady of Good Counsel was added to the ancient Litany of Loreto in the Middle Ages because of the large devotion that had developed for Mary under that title. It behooves us all to hope and seek for the gift of her advice.
** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.
- Acid-free fine art paper.
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
Thanks for your interest!
