We love antique holy cards, and this is one has a simple, powerful message. Simplicity. The back of this postcard reads, "At the top of this vintage French Holy Card it says, "What Mary wants from me is" and at the bottom it says, "Simplicity. Below that it says, "To be simple is to have only one object: God alone." Let go and let God. Love him with a child's hear, and trust in His love for you.
Our reproduction of this beautiful Victorian Holy Card comes in a 4x6" size with a postcard type back, matt finish for writing on. It is suitable for framing or mailing as a comfort to a friend or giving away or just using as a holy card and putting on your bookshelf.
Comes in a set of three, ten, or one hundred postcards.
We also plan on reproducing holy cards of this image the approximate small size of the original. As of this writing, they are not offered yet.
The original was done by one of our all time favorite publishers, Bouasse-Jeune, a Parisian firm formed in 1867 who published holy cards until the early 1900s. (source: udayton.edu)
