The piercing yet gentle eyes in this image reflect the holy woman, Catherine of Sienna, whose persuasive words and clarity of thought moved thousands to join the cause of Christ, and convinced the Pope to return to Rome from Avignon. She was favored with the Wwounds of Christ (The Stigmata).

Author of a great theological work, Dialogue, she has been declared a Doctor of the Church. She died in 1380, at the age of thirty-three. Her feast day is April 29th. She is the patron of Italy, Europe, nurses, firefighters, and sick people.

I used watercolor and colored pencil to produce this image. I stylized it to somewhat resemble an icon.

Each of the 3 sizes indicates outside dimensions. There is a border of white left around the image, approximately 1 1/2" to 2" all around..

Signed by artist.

Comes in a close-fitting crystal-clear plastic sleeve with a whiteboard backing.

Archival Quality: All our prints are made using premium acid-free fine art paper in card thickness, and high quality Epson pigments (instead of dyes), rated by a third party to last 200+ years when not hung in direct sunlight. These prints are beautiful today and are time capsules of the faith for future generations.
