Therese in Blue Art Print
Therese in Blue Art Print
This print is from Sue's original painting of a famous photo of Saint Therese of Lisieux. Her gaze is so intense that one feels her presence personally. The blue signifies Heaven, from where she desires to help all souls in the battle of life to find the presence of Christ and feel His love personally.
Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face was a cloistered Carmelite nun in France. She has been declared a doctor of the church even though she only lived 24 years. She shared with the world the "little way" of holiness in her life story, "the Story of a Soul." She died in 1897 after much suffering which she gladly bore for her Beloved Jesus.
The original was painted in oils on 9 by 12 inch canvas, stretched on a wooden frame, and is available for sale.
IMPORTANT: Each of the 3 sizes indicates outside dimensions. There is a border of white left around the image, approximately 1 1/2" to 2" all around.
