"In the heart of the Church I will be love!" -St Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face.
Set of three or 10 postcards, measuring 4x6 inches each, to mail to friends, or even frame as gifts! Thick, glossy paper.
This painting was done with reference to a photo of a fairly recent saint, well-loved by many in the Catholic Church, St. Theresa of Lisieux, or "The Little Flower." She lived and died at the end of the nineteenth century as a girl, really. She was only 24 when she died, as a Carmelite nun. During her last illness she was ordered to write her story, which she called The Story of a Soul. It spells out her simple spirituality, the way of littleness, or spiritual childhood. That is why Sue portrays her as a child.
The inscription on the back reads, "Saint Therese of Lisieux was a French, Carmelite nun. Her 'Little Way' is a path of holiness, based on love and simplicity. Her ideal is spiritual childhood, trusting in the love of God the Father."
